NOTE; Ok, there are two ways of doing the first couple of steps. Here goes!

1. If your hair is clean, spritz on some heat protection and turn on your straightening irons - whilst waiting for them to heat up, brush through all your hair. Then, straighten your hair in sections curving the hair slightly towards your body at the bottom to create the soft finish at the ends.

ALTERNATIVE to step 1. If your hair is dirty, greasy or just being plain difficult, then wash your hair using shampoo and conditioner (focus on the ends of your hair with the conditioner) and brush through all of your hair so that is completely tangle free after you've finished washing. When the hair is 50% dry, begin blow-drying in sections using a flat brush (preferably a paddle brush) to give a soft straight look. Use around 5 sections. Then you can run straighteners over the hair if you need to.

2. Give your hair a parting slightly to the right side of the centre of your head and brush all of your hair into position so that it sits well.

3. Leaving two thick strands of hair out at the front (refer to photo) brush the top section of your hair round to the back of your head and tie it with a cloth covered elasticated hairband or clip it in place with a decorative clip.

4. If you like, you can use your straightening irons to curve the strands at the front outwards.

5. Brush through the hair underneath the section that is clipped back and, if you like, use some kind of shine spray to give a nice polished look. Apply some good quality hairspray and viola! You're done!
